I've been making flow charts since I was about 17 years old and I still make quite a bit of flow charts for work. If you are new to concept of flow charts, have a read here.
I currently using MS Visio 2010 Pro to make my flow charts however, I've found some shapes/symbols, which have specific meanings, are not available in MS Visio 2010, compared to MS Visio 2007 Pro.
Long story short, I realised some people who read my flow charts did not know the meanings of some of the symbols/shapes. The meanings of the symbols found on Visio can be found here. I compiled the list on the link above into a PDF for my self. You can download it from here
